I began serving as county commissioner on January 1, 2021, and needless to say was a bit nervous beginning the new job. In those early days and weeks of drinking from the firehose, learning the processes, procedures, people, and endless ACRONYMS, Commissioners Burrows and Chilcott were patient and supportive as I learned about and got to know my fellow commissioners.
Jeff Burrows is an extremely intelligent, thoughtful, and humble person who listens well. Jeff is a skilled negotiator and strong advocate for Ravalli County; a few of the things he does as commissioner are mentioned here:
Jeff Burrows is liaison to the following county departments: 911, Airport, Public Safety, Emergency Communications, Information Technology, Jail Commissary, Juvenile Detention, Emergency Management, Public Health, Search and Rescue, Ravalli County Collaborative, and Forest Service, as well as serving on various volunteer advisory boards and more. Jeff is an entrepreneur and as such understands the private business world as well as local government. He is a master at the county budget, and fully understands the importance of sound fiscal policy. Jeff is a natural leader who leads by example with understanding and compassion. His work ethic is outstanding. He is also a family man.
