Lackey’s fight against the establishment

May 24, 2022 by Guest Post

by Rachel Bartlett, Stevensville

True Conservative Republicans have always been known to be true to the Constitution. Democrats are willing to break the laws of the Constitution to achieve their activist purpose no matter what the cost.  However, one has to admit in some cases there is a crossover in ideology between Republicans and Democrats.  This seems to happen when it is concerning the environment and conservation issues. However the one difference is the Democrats are extremists. Republicans try to strike a balance because people matter also.

Democrats have always tried to paint Conservative Republicans as a group that takes the side of the economy over the environment. This is not true. The word Conservative (Republican) denotes that the true Republican holds conservation issues near and dear to his heart. He will fight to the death even those in his own party if it violates integrity and moral consciousness.

Long story, short, the Bush Administration in the last four years of his presidency “promised an energy plan that would be environmentally sensitive and would protect our natural resources.” That never happened.

In and about the year, 2004 Alan Lackey was living in New Mexico when he confronted a situation he couldn’t ignore.  His love for America and its wild lands prompted him to become involved in the fight of his life to save the land he loved. Consequently he, joined a coalition of New Mexican ranchers, hunters, environmentalist and Native American tribes to stop Bush and company from erecting hundreds of natural gas wells in Vale Vidal, a 40,000 acre basin of pristine grassland and meadows in New Mexico where thousands of elk graze in winter. According to Lackey this was done simply for profit. “What you find” said Lackey “is our government had become a government by the money and for the money.”

This concept was shared by countless Republican Sportsmen and conservationists who were and still are concerned about exploitation of our precious environment for nefarious purposes.  Bush and company broke every environmental law for personal profit and greed.

However, what Alan Lackey’s opposition is asking you to believe is this: They are asking you to believe he is not a true Conservative Republican because of his fight against the George Bush Administration regarding their violations against good conservation practices. This is a lie perpetrated by the opposition trying to discredit Lackey’s fight against a Neo Con Republican Administration’s disregard for people and the environment.

When Alan Lackey becomes our Representative to the Montana Legislature, he will represent us well. He will not only follow the Constitution; he will protect our public lands from being desecrated by those who are willing to sell off our beautiful Montana for profit.

I like and respect Mr. Lackey and I’ll cast my vote for him. Why:
I want a representative who will not be swayed by outside influence and questionable money that Mr Rusk has already demonstrated he will take.
I want a representative with the right temperament, demonstrated character and commitment to Ravalli County, the State of Montana and paramount…the Constitution of the United States as written and not perverted as many want it to be! ALAN LACKEY gets my vote

Your statement: : “He will not only follow the Constitution; …” cannot be a true statement. If Lackey is elected he would be required to take “The Oath of office”
    OATH OF OFFICE
    THE STATE OF MONTANA )
    :
    COUNTY OF _______________________ )
I, ___________________________________________________, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I
will support, protect and defend the constitution of the United States and the constitution of the
State of Montana, and that I will discharge the duties of my office
_______________________________________________ with fidelity (so help me God).
Lackey oath would have to be edited to add the words; “All except Article V” Honorable public servants don’t get to pick and chose what parts of our Constitution the will actually Honor.

I do not believe Lackey is the man we want in our government. Please vote for Wayne Rusk
