I’m angry.
We did this already.
And the three Supreme Court Justices appointed by our dear former president and ramrodded through by the GOP all said they regarded Roe v. Wade as a done deal.
Apparently they lied. Our American Supreme Court Justices. Three supposedly Christian people, one of them a woman.
Those Supreme Court Justices and all the other lawgivers have money and will continue to make abortions available when they and their families and their friends want or need them.
Just not the people without money – you know, all the white and Black and Brown women whose lives may or may not include the possibility of contraception and who may be subject to abusive males.
Without males, you know, there would be no pregnancies, so why are women held responsible? Not to mention abused and oppressed?
All of us – you, I, everyone – know someone who has had an abortion. Don’t pretend you don’t, because you may not even know.
A corpse has more rights than a pregnant woman in this “free” country.
And don’t come at me with your Christianity, because I am not a Christian and freedom of religion is guaranteed by the Constitution. Also because your “Christianity” seems to have forgotten both Jesus’s teachings and the Golden Rule.
And don’t come at me with the “sanctity of life.” If you believed in that, the gun industry wouldn’t be doing so well and people wouldn’t be packing all the time.
And if you were really “pro-life,” you would be electing lawgivers who who want to improve public schools and sex education and health care and our system of justice instead of re-re-re-investigating elections because you are listening to wacko conspiracy theorists.
Are you really proud to belong to a party that lies and cheats and is driven by paranoia? Is that how you live your life?
Just my 2¢.

It’s murder and should be illegal, it’s that simple.

I’ll ask you the same thing I asked the other commenter. How do you suggest the state monitor women so they can make sure that they do not attempt to terminate a pregnancy? Chain them to a hospital bed? Put an ankle monitor on them? And if they were to sneak off and have an abortion, how long should their prision sentence be? 5 years? 10? Or should they just get probation, but be forced to give a urine sample each month to make sure that they do not get pregnant again?
Jo Reyes says
The same people who against providing sex education to young people, and neglect their duty to their children to give them information to prevent unwanted pregnancies, are often the same who are against freedom of healthcare choices for our bodies. My daughter and nieces will have less rights to make decisions regarding their personal healthcare that this 65 year old. This country is retreating back to oppression, while many countries of the world are respecting a women’s right to choice.

Amen Mary.

As usual Fahnenstock Thomas blames all but the people who should be blamed for not using birth control. It’s easy enough for a man to use a condom and a woman to get on some type pill…why don’t they? That is the real question here and the one that Fahnenstock Thomas should be angry about. But as usual, she rants and raves without making sense.
Gomez says
And if the birth control fails (and it sometimes does), how do you suggest that the state should monitor the woman so they can make sure that she does not attempt to terminate the pregnancy? Chain her to a hospital bed? Put an ankle monitor on her? And if she were to sneak off and have an abortion, how long should her prision sentence be? 5 years? 10? Or should she just get probation, but be forced to give urine each month to make sure that she doesn’t get pregnant again?

Oh Helen, what it must be like to go through life so ignorant. I believe Mary to be spot on and articulated what the majority of Americans want and feel.
You DO know that women can get pregnant for reasons other than an OOPS moment. Rape, Incest, Defective Control
You DO know that not all women can take birth control. Age, Medical Conditions, Religion
You people rat “Don’t Tread On Me” and “we’re losing our freedoms”…waaah! Well, I for one don’t want to see women loose their choice on such a personal decision that doesn’t always originate from a mistake. YEA, DON’T TREAD ON THEM.

Can you truthfully tell me Elizabeth Warren is Native American? Okay enough about politicians telling lies!! Power to the States is the solution, and you have the right to live in anyone you desire.
Gomez says
Thank you for saying this. Your anger is a righteous anger.
Right behind this will be a ban on same sex marriage, LBGTQ rights, and further erosion of the rights of anyone who is not a straight, white, Christian male.

2 cents! That’s over priced.
