Problems galore with Biden

I think it’s time for another Esmay opinion letter.

Let’s start with another look at our southern border. Is there a single reader who agrees with the current open border strategy? Why as American citizens are we allowing the current situation to continue? The President and Vice President continue to ignore the problem with neither one visiting to observe what is happening. While I can understand that some of our citizens feel sympathy for the plight of these poor people, they are ignoring the criminal activity that is taking place. Illegal immigrants are being allowed into our country from 150 other countries knowing that the vast majority of them will never attempt to honor their Immigration Court requirement. More importantly, along with those who are caught there are many coming across who are not caught – 300,000 the last I heard. Just think about that. The equivalent of 1/3 of the population of Montana has infiltrated our country without being caught. I think we can assume that the vast majority of these folks are not poor families searching for a better life. For those readers who assume the problems at our southern border will never impact Montana citizens – I noted last month that our local Ravalli County jail had six people being held for the US Marshals. I have to assume these individuals were illegal aliens. Additionally, the Fentanyl drug problem is already out of control and growing. Guess where most of this drug is coming from? 

Before I leave the southern border, I also want to point out that unknown amounts of money (your money) are being expended to relocate and settle these immigrants while we daily hear about shortages for our own citizens. Just this week it was uncovered that we are giving each of these immigrants a cell phone. Obviously, the border states are suffering the most with this influx and are having to spend state funds to offset many expenses. Interestingly, I just heard that the Governor of Texas is going to start sending busloads of these immigrants to Washington D.C. to see how the folks in the Federal Government like it.

I hope everyone has been praying for the folks in Ukraine. They are certainly putting up a heroic fight against the invading Russians. This crisis should be a world-wide wakeup to the continuing threat of Communism. The President’s mental capability to deal with this international emergency has been put to the test and in my opinion, he has failed.  Almost daily his staff have seen the necessity to come out and correct major mistakes that he has made. 

I don’t know if you noticed that recently the Army published an ‘After Action Report’ concerning the Afghanistan debacle which clearly showed that contrary to what the President claimed, he was being given recommendations outside his decisions. You might remember that at the time of the “retreat” he was telling us that everyone was in agreement with his decisions. Of course, when he was asked about this report, he simply rejected it.

How about the President’s son’s laptop computer? The “main street media” have finally acknowledged that the computer is in fact one that belonged to Hunter Biden, but they are continuing to downplay the possibility that the President has lied repeatedly to us about his knowledge of what his son was doing. They are still trying to convince us that this is “Russian mis-information.” Over a year ago I proposed that there was a major coverup of the existence of this computer by not only the main street media but also the social media platforms just prior to the Presidential election. I continue to believe that Biden would never have been elected had the truth been put out concerning what was already known about the emails on it.

How are you dealing with the out-of-control inflation? Of course it’s all Trump’s fault or related to Covid, at least that’s what the Democrats continue to spew. The exception is the price of gas which they claim Putin and the petroleum companies have caused.  NO, Biden and the Democrats have caused these problems and we are being warned that they will get worse. Have you visited the Dollar Store in Missoula recently where most of the items are now $1.25?
