Mike McLeod, a nurse at Marcus Daly Hospital in Hamilton, and his wife hit the road for a getaway in Great Falls. Just five hours into their trip they got the most devastating phone call informing them that their house caught fire and there wasn’t enough time to save their three dogs, cat, or guinea pig. On top of that, everything in the home and the home itself were destroyed.
“The McLeods have always been a family that will go out of their way to help others,” Sara Clevidence, a close friend from Lolo, said. “From medical expertise, mechanical smarts, gardening mastery and just being the friends you always needed, they have proven themselves to always be there for others, no matter the situation.”
Clevidence started a GoFundMe to help the McLeod family get back on their feet, find some temporary housing, and get started on rebuilding their lives. As of Monday, nearly $6,000 has been raised.
