Suzanne Jeanne Denend

May 9, 1945 – February 8, 2022

Suzanne Jeanne Denend was born in Compton, California to John and Vivian Robertson on May 9, 1945.

She passed away on February 8, 2022 in Stevensville, Montana after a long illness.

Suzanne lived in Louisiana where her father John was discharged from the Navy after World War II. The family then moved to Stillwater, Oklahoma where her father received his engineering degree from Oklahoma A&M University. The family located in San Luis Obispo, California where Suzanne attended elementary school at Fremont, East Santa Fe and Sinsheimer. Suzanne graduated from San Luis Obispo High School in 1963. She then attended and graduated from Highland School of Nursing in Oakland, California in 1966. She nursed in California, Oregon, Illinois and Montana and spent two years as a traveling nurse working in several states.

Suzanne was the mother of six children: Bambi, Billy, Marc, Carolyn, Matthew and Joshua. In 1990 she married Jerry Denend and they made their home in Stevensville, Montana where she enjoyed hunting with her husband.

Suzanne was preceded in death by her father John Robertson in 1983 and her mother Vivian Robertson White in 2021. Suzanne is survived in death by her husband Jerry Denend, her sisters, Sally Mailand, Pam Bellovich and Anne Bodwell, and her brother, John Robertson.

Suzanne will always be remembered for her quick wit and wonderful sense of humor.

To honor her memory, contributions can be made to Cancer Camp for Kids.
