The Stevensville Stevensville School District Board of Trustees has selected the following finalists for the position of District Superintendent. A series of interviews, meetings and tours will be held on Tuesday, February 15 and Thursday, February 17. Following the last interview on February 17, the Board will take public comment on all the candidates. Following public comment, the Board will go into closed session to hear background checks and then will return to open session to deliberate and potentially make a decision.
Finalists:
Clark Begger has been the PK-8 Principal in the Joliet School District in Joliet, Montana, since 2018. He previously served as a teacher in the Kalispell School District in Kalispell, Montana. Clark has a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from the University of Montana, and a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Montana.
Dr. Robert DoBell has served as the Superintendent/Principal of the Lone Rock Elementary School District in Stevensville, Montana, since 2020. Robert previously served as Superintendent for the Three Forks School District in Three Forks, Montana, and as an adjunct professor at the University of Montana. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in History/Spanish from the University of New Mexico, a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Montana, and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of Montana.
David Thennis has been the Principal of the C.R. Anderson Middle School in Helena, Montana, since 2017. He previously served as the Assistant Principal of C.R. Anderson for ten years prior to accepting the Principal position. Dave has a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry and Biology from Whitman College and a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Montana.
John “Scott” Stiegler has served as the Athletic Director/Activities Administrator in the Florence Carlton School District in Florence, Montana, since 2020. Prior to returning to Florence, Scott was the Superintendent/Principal of the Lone Rock Elementary School District. Scott has a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from the University of Montana and Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Rocky Mountain College.
