Alert! Urgent need for national payer

February 23, 2022 by Guest Post

by Charles E. Wissenbach, Pinesdale

Headlines: “Russian invasion of Ukraine increasingly looks inevitable.” Invasion troops and ships massing (Fred Fleitz, Newsmax, Feb. 11, 2022)

President Biden’s response: 1) Promised Russia we won’t interfere militarily. 2) Threatens scary sanctions. 3) Warns all Americans: leave Ukraine immediately.

Dictators worldwide watch, salivating over areas they covet.

Prayer with fasting worked for defenseless Jehosaphat surprised by three alien armies. God responded, “The battle is not yours, but God’s.” Result: Jerusalem was saved. The invading armies were completely destroyed without Jehosaphat raising an opposing finger (Old Testament 2 Chron. 20).

Modern war is unthinkably terrible. Halt it by massive prayer!

However you pray, let’s all appeal to Jehosaphat’s God.

“Modern war is unthinkably terrible. Halt it by massive prayer!”

    So… pre-modern (old) war wasn’t terrible?

How’d that work out for European jews back in the WW2 era? Or does that not meet the criteria of your “modern war” theory, or perhaps the “massive prayer” wasn’t massive enough? How does one person outpray millions?

Where was this supposed god who allegedly saved one person, but didn’t save millions of others of his allegedly “chosen people” according to your book of old testament?

Now here’s a crazy theory: this book you talk about says this god has killed his own creation many, many times. Maybe this is your god just doing more killing of something made in his own image? Is it because this god of yours is an angry god, according to this you book speak of?

    Pray tell Charles.

A reminder, that on Saturday, March 14, 2020, President Trump announced a National Day of Prayer, to be observed the following day to combat the COVID-19 pandemic. At that time there was approximately 3000 cases of COVID nationwide and a handful of deaths.

As of today there have been 78 million cases of COVID-19. and 940,000 deaths.

Tell me again about the power of prayer.
