Victor – Justin Zane Dundon, age 43, beloved son of Terry and Barbara Dundon, died July 13, 2021, of COVID. He was born February 12, 1978, in Lebanon, Oregon, grew up in Sweet Home, Oregon, and graduated from Sweet Home High School in 1996. During his senior year, he volunteered in various biology class-sponsoredcommunity projects furthering his career interests in forestry and biology. He attended Linn-Benton Community College and later transferred to Central Oregon Community College when his family moved to Sisters, Oregon, where he pursued a degree in Forestry while working with several different branches of the Forest Service. He gained additional skills working in retail and was a partner in Nekena Custom Sawing with his parents. He volunteered as a firefighter and First Responder with the Cloverdale Fire District during that time as well.
After his parents moved to Montana, he, too, moved there. He worked a year in the North Dakota oil fields but missed the mountains and his family, returned home and again worked in retail until his death.
He had an engaging smile and a quick wit, was known as a very kind man who did not tolerate injustice or mistreatment of others. His main hobby was collecting model trains in which he shared a keen interest with good family friend Jeff Strait.
He is survived by his parents Barbara (Boise) and Terry Dundon, aunt and uncle Linda (Dundon) and Randy Stiver, aunt Jeanne (Kramer-Dundon) Alich and step-uncle Vic Alich, uncle Keith Boise, aunt Chris (Stores-Boise) Singleton, cousins Amanda Stiver, Rex Dundon, John Dundon, Darcie (Dundon) Miller, Jason Boise, Aaron Boise, Adam Boise, and Reuben Boise, and 16 second cousins. He is and always will be sorely missed.
