Hamilton, MT – Lowell J. Jacobson, 88 of Hamilton passed away Saturday, November 27, 2021 at his home.
Lowell was born October 26, 1933 in Sauk Centre, MN the son of the late Herman and Lyla Ellison Jacobson. He started school in a one room schoolhouse and graduated from Sauk Centre High School. Lowell entered the US Army in July 1953 and served as a Mortar Gunner in the 47th Infantry Regiment in Germany until he was honorably discharged in May 1955.
Lowell married Joan Pettit and the couple has been married for 61 years.
He worked at Darby Lumber and the Rocky Mountain Lab. Lowell also operated L.J. Jacobson well drilling.
Lowell is survived by his wife Joan; brother, David Jacobson and sister Barbara Jacobson. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Dr. Eugene Jacobson and Paul Jacobson.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 10, 2021 at Grace Lutheran Church with Pastor Vern Sandersfeld officiating. Urn placement will take place at a later date at Riverview Cemetery in Hamilton. Condolences may be left for the family at www.dalyleachchapel.com
