November 24, 2021 by Editor

Feb. 18. 1954 -Nov. 13, 2021

It is with heavy hearts, that we announce the passing of Martin William Maclay on November 13, 2021.

He is survived by his wife Shari Lynn Maclay; son Mike Maclay (Kim) and their sons Bradley and Ashton; daughter Jesse Maclay; sisters Marilyn Maclay; Fran, and her son Marcus; Cathy Maclay (Aaron Muth) and their daughters Arley and Ryan; step-daugthers Brandi Trenk and her children Daniel and Sunni, and Darby Trenk, and her sons Jaden  and Justin. Marty was predeceased by his parents Glenn and Margaret Maclay.

Around 1980, Marty began his career as a Master Electrician starting his own company,  which in later years became Maclay Electric and Pump Service.

He was a kind and  generous man with a big heart, always ready to help someone in need. Ever the practical joker, many an unsuspecting friend endured his  pranks.

A Memorial Service will be held December 03, 2021 at 1:00 p.m at the Florence- Carlton Community Church.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Marty’s memory may be made to: Stand Together For Freedom, PO Box 752, Stevensville, MT. 59870. A sincere thank you to Terri Lackey, and other members of the STFF group that cared for both Marty and I when we were ill, and for their continued support after Marty’s passing.

Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at www.brothersmortuary.com

In honor of Marty’s life, gone so suddenly and too soon, please receive your covid vaccine immediately. Marty has given his life to send this message. My condolences to Shanna, wife of many, many years and mother of his children. My heart goes out to all of you. Marty will always be loved by me and my family. He’s been a rock to my family and his kindness will never go unappreciated. Godspeed, good man. Love, Sandra
