Support for Mayor Dewey and Council

October 19, 2021 by Guest Post

by Stan and Nancy Schweissing, Stevensville

We heartily endorse the re-election of Brandon Dewey, an energetic young professional who has led our city government these past four years with integrity, diligence and resilience. Brandon’s dedication to our community is evident from his tireless participation in volunteer activities (i.e. enhancing the attractiveness of Stevensville by planting flowers in the clay pots on Main Street). His attention to the responsibilities of Mayor are always focused on doing what is best for the community whether he is working with the council on budget hearings, updating the strategic plan for future development in our town, applying for grant monies, acquiring information to support council decisions, and pursuing projects that will improve the city infrastructure that we all benefit from. We have all witnessed criticism of public servants and elected officials which is easy to do and has often been determined to be unfounded, yet Brandon has continued on with integrity and a singular focus that in his words is described as “just wanting to give something back to the community”.

Our city government is now working together productively and efficiently as they tackle issues before them. Thank you Mayor Dewey, and current Council members Paul Ludington, Sydney Allen, Jaime Devlin and Karen Wandler. We support their efforts on our behalf, and appreciate their willingness to continue serving Stevensville.
