Leopards don’t change their spots

October 27, 2021 by Guest Post

by Russell Hanni, Stevensville

You have a person who has shown his spots. He caused the town insurance to increase, and he wants you to vote him back in ! A leopard don’t change his spots. He will still try and bully his way in. Read between the lines, you see two candidates who quit, still they want back, why? Three names with close ties to your ex-mayor, and one new mayoral comer.

If you vote them in, nothing is going to change. They are setting you up to fill in a name drop candidate or add a spot for him. You will see in a short time your ex-mayor name come up! If I’m wrong, we’ll let it be.

The town needs young ideas to grow with, and you have them with your mayor, and one new ward member. Look around, Stevensville is growing, none of us like change, but it happens.

If you read secondhand hearsay they have you where they want you!

The hate in this letter is mind boggling.. Mr. Hanni, I suggest you seek some absolution next time you are in church. It will do you good. And if you meet your maker soon, your soul will have peace and redemption. It’s a small town election. No need to allow the devil into your words. No matter who wins, we all win in the end.

Well said Russell with the courage to speak up! Thank you!

    Russell Hanni,
Do you see my name on any ballot? Do you see me running a campaign? Yes, I am the ex-mayor you are talking about.
Whatever your ill founded concerns are, you could have the common decency to call me on the phone and ask me what my plans are instead of making up a bunch of things.
You have absolutely no idea what I do all day, in my private life or anything else. Maybe you should ask me.
Instead, you founder with gossip and innuendo. I expect better of you. I have never treated you badly, I went out of my way to help you. You remember that?
The only thing I have ever wanted for this town is to see things run in accordance with our resolutions, ordinances, state law, the constitutions and our town policies and procedures.
Instead we get people that do not care out doing it right.
