Masks

August 18, 2021 by Guest Post

by Toxann Olson, Hamilton

I am against our schools requiring masks.

Air re breathed has no oxygen-

Proven fact: every system in the body requires oxygen.

Masks don’t stop particles the size of a virus. They do harbor bacteria and all kinds of other nasties.

Masks are used only by those who are miss informed, living fear based.

Get past redicous. Fear and anxiety are not the driver we want to inspire.

No mask mandates!!! To wear a mask should be an individual choice.

I am a retired teacher.

Good to know that Miss Informed didn’t teach English.

SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA – A large tertiary care center in Sydney, Australia is pulling out all the stops to try and cut their expenses.

“As of next month, all doctors and nurses currently on staff will be replaced by parents who have done research on the Internet.

“I can’t tell you how happy and relieved I am when a patient tells me they have done some research on the internet,” said head of neurology, Dr. Eric Sheppard. “It’s only topped by a patient telling me they have a family member who is a nurse.”

The hospital is excited about how much money this move should save them, not to mention the overwhelming support from parents everywhere.

“This is a great move in my opinion,” said anti-vaccer Meryl Dorey. “Most parents know more than doctors anyways, so this is a huge step in the right direction.”

Fake doctors are also supportive of the decision and are hoping to be given consideration for available positions: “I have two internet doctorates and know far more about how to heal people than any medical doctor,” said “Doctor” Dante Seers. “I would love to go into more detail but it will cost you $1495.”

The current staff are in the process of being moved to other, less innovative health centers.”

Btw, just in case some people don’t get this, it’s a joke.:)

So, let me see if I have this right, a mask won’t stop ‘the virus’ but it will stop bacteria and oxygen?

I think you need to check your math.

The masks were never to protect the wearer any more than a surgeons mask protects him/her from your guts. It’s to protect you from his/her spit. Bacteria and viruses are carried in aerosols of spittle generated through speech and breath. Wearing a mask, although not perfect, reduces those aerosols significantly.
Just like it prevents you from spitting on me in the grocery store.

Brush your teeth and mask up! Your community is counting on you!

Nailed it. Masks may be imperfect, but even if they stop just half of the particles from flying out of someone’s mouth when they sneeze or cough, that’s still 50% less crap floating around in the air.
