Corvallis – Donald Palmer Thorson, 78 of Corvallis passed away Sunday, August 15, 2021 at his home in Corvallis.
Don was born May 2, 1943 in Hamilton, MT to the late Alvin and Edith Thorson. He attended and graduated from Corvallis High School and University of Montana.
Don married Linda L. Jessen on June 17, 1972.
Don and his brother Bob operated A.E. Thorson & Sons Manufacturing. He served as a Commander, US NAVY Reserve (RET) onboard the USS Benington and USS Peleliu. Don was active in 4-H, the Water Board and Corvallis Cemetery. He enjoyed History, stamps and coins.
Don was preceded in death by his parents and sister-in-law Carolyn.
He is survived by his wife Linda of Corvallis MT; brother, Robert of Corvallis MT; son, Laurence (Randi) of La Mesa CA; niece, Jeanette (Rob) Smith and family of Corvallis MT; nephew, Christian of Corvallis, MT.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at the Daly-Leach Chapel. Interment followed at Corvallis Cemetery with military honors presented by the US Navy and the Corvallis American Legion. Condolences may be left for the family at www.dalyleachchapel.com
