The 11U and 13U Bitterroot All-Stars will be heading to Regionals at the end of this month. After winning the championship in State, both teams will go to represent Montana in their age bracket. The 13U team is heading to Ferndale, Washington, and the 11U will be playing in West Linn, Oregon.
Ed Brenneman, head coach of the 13U team, said, “It was so fun to coach the kids this year and see them all get better. Their engagement in the games towards the end of the season was amazing.”
Travelling to a different state for an entire week of baseball is no small task. These two teams are giving it their all to raise as much money as possible before they leave town. The 11U team is selling raffle tickets, and the 13U is hosting a pint night at Finn’s Tap House in Corvallis.
“Getting the chance to play again with the same team as last year has been the highlight,” said Larry Lockhart, head coach of the 11U.
After an amazing season for both teams, the coaches are excited to see what this Regional tournament will bring. Taking first place at Regionals would mean a trip to the Little League World Series. Wish these young athletes luck as they go represent our state of Montana in Oregon and Washington.
