The April 28 article, entitled “Aristocracy or democracy” by Mary Fahnestock-Thomas (F-T) doesn’t make sense. Mary, please try to clear up what you meant so we can understand your points. Your thoughts are important but the jumbled and incoherent way you wrote them makes them unclear.
You begin by mentioning the “rich” in Helena, our representatives, then later speak about Reagan – which is it? Local politics or national?
Who are the “rich” that “Republicans especially” trust? Trump? If so, we had record low unemployment for minorities and women which was great! We had tax cuts that benefitted all of us. The economy was humming along nicely. You don’t want that Mary? Please explain.
Biden is now destroying those same Trump policies that benefitted us all: JOBS – Under Biden, thousands of Americans have lost their jobs already and many will lose them in the future if salaries go to $15.an hour like Biden promised (just look at The Filling Station in Hamilton and other employers – they cannot get people to work!) ECONOMY – taxes and living-costs are skyrocketing while tax cuts from Trump have been removed adding a double whammy to those of us who can least afford that action; SOUTHERN WALL – Biden stopped building the wall allowing hundreds of thousands of illegals to bring COVID, CRIME and CRIMINALITY to the USA. That didn’t make sense to me… does it to YOU, Mary?
Then you mention voter suppression? Were you referring to the 78 million votes for Trump that were disenfranchised with the voter fraud that occurred in the 2020 Presidential election? If you have NOT seen the many videos, explanations, articles, and experts, speaking about the fraud that was done, just google TRUMP VOTER SUPPRESSION. Then, look at the states that are moving to ensure that the next election is an honest one including our own wonderful Montana. Our representatives (rich or not in Helena) are doing us a HUGE favor – making OUR LEGAL VOTES actually count!
And yes, as Reagan said, government needs to be reduced and controlled – as you can see with Biden in charge, the country is now poorly managed; our debt and deficit have skyrocketed to the point that we will never be able to pay it off and it makes our dollar worthless. Our country had a downgrade in its credit under Obama due to his feckless policies on which Biden is doubling down. Remember Mary? Is that what YOU want again? We are on that track unless we “non-rich” say ENOUGH! And we should! Therefore, write your congress critter and tell them to stop with the expensive unemployment and covid payments to Americans that keep them from seeking work. Further, make each bill they pass a ONE ITEM BILL. Stop loading bills with pork, unnecessary costs, and payments to various crony groups and politicians such as Pelosi’s and Feinstein’s husbands.
Mary, what you have to say is important and we want to understand what you were trying to say. Please re-write your points so they are coherent. Thanks for your understanding.
