While I am not opposed to the zoning change, The costs and impact fees are outrageous. When folks find out how much it will cost for a B+B or a “mother in law apt. above a garage, I doubt most folks won’t think the project is worth the costs. I do have a concern about protecting our residential Zones. Much of the south side is a Historical district and is NOT the ideal location for apartments without TOTAL off-street parking places. Also, anyone who builds an apartment, should be charged the impact fees, as well as, Sidewalks, curbs, and gutters. The low end tax payers should not have to subsidize developers!
