Welcome to Missoula
Why do you travel to Missoula? To shop? To meet with a doctor? To visit someone? Yet there you are, traveling the crowded Missoula streets, hoping someone doesn’t crash into you. The traffic there is horrendous. You spend more time getting where you want to be than being there. And then you leave. You head South, towards the beautiful, serene town of Stevensville. Ah, no you don’t. Because Stevensville no longer exists.
The planning and zoning board is not denying the huge, densely packed subdivision called for south of Creekside Meadows.
The mayor and a couple of P&Z board members showed their true colors on Wednesday night. And now all the town has left for defense is the council who must approve or deny this gross blight on our lives.
I have no understanding of theologic behind this subdivision other than greed. It certainly doesn’t improve our community. In fact, it sits on a swamp, and turns traffic here into Reserve Street. I do not know of any person living here that is in favor of this development. The mayor approves though.
If we do not rise up and protest with all our voices then this will happen.
The Main Street merchants are being disregarded, too. The new subdivision calls for a commercial area, taking away the downtown profits and shopping capabilities.

This is definitely greed!
The reason we all live in this valley is because it’s beautiful and it’s away from the city..
All of our dairies have been taken away, and housing developments are popping up everywhere.
We all need to stand up and speak up! Remember why we choose this beautiful valley to call our home,

Did I hear the “Z” word somewhere in there?
