False information

September 29, 2020 by Guest Post

By Dawn Smith, Stevensville

I was reading in the last Bitterroot Star that Brandon Dewey was taking accolades on bringing the 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular and Skatepark Jam to our town. Let it be known that he did NOT have any input in this! My husband, Ray Smith, and the many other supporters, made this happen! Mayor Dewey did everything he could to block and charge excess fees for this! He did not make this happen!

The accomplishments listed in the paper were accomplishments from the time Brandon became Mayor (not just from 2020).
Ray Smith did a great job on the fireworks this year. No one is trying to take anything away from the work Ray did to put the 4th of July celebration together, least of all Mayor Dewey.
You should make an inquiry through the town regarding the fees that were charged for the event if you disagree with them. Bad mouthing the Mayor in the paper and on social media is not the way to handle it.
