By Sue Devlin, Stevensville
Council member Robin Holcomb, although I am not in your ward, you do represent the town of Stevensville. As such, I would think that you would take your duties far more seriously than you do.
It has been interesting watching yours and Bob’s silent “conversations” during council meetings – when the two of you were at opposite ends of the table. You would watch him for how he was reacting to an item and then vote accordingly… check the records.
You got caught in a huge lie during the variance meeting. Then tried to cover it – deflect and blame. That’s what you do best.
You stated at a recorded meeting several months ago that you would not correspond by e-mail anymore – only verbally. So, how was the Mayor supposed to know that you had sent him an e-mail saying you were not going to attend the Thursday night meeting? You can’t say one thing then do another – or yes, I guess you believe you can. You do know that your absence is unexcused.
Bob is not going to be at the next council meeting, Tuesday the 14th of July, are you going to attend? Or is the town’s business once again going to be pushed aside by your non-attendance, therefore again no quorum?
I am asking you, for the sake of the town, to resign. You are not, in my opinion, doing your job and have never done a very good job – I’ve attended and watched many meetings.
Please do the town a favor, resign.

Crews, how can it be a conflict of interest? I am the proud mother of Jaime Devlin…..who is a council person. I am a very dedicated town person who is working very hard to bring decency, honesty and stability back to this town. How can this be a conflict of interest – I’m not on the council, my opinions are my opinions, Councilperson Devlin’s opinions are her opinions. You’re just, again, making a fool of yourself.
Jim Crews says
Just for your information Ms. Devlin, mother of Jaime Devlin, (is there a conflict of interest), council has established no rules to compel another member to attend a meeting. One thing for sure, you have to have a quorum to make a motion, take a vote and enact the decision. Two council members, a quorum does not make in our form of government.
Perhaps you should explain that to council member Devlin.
