In 2020 no one owes anyone for things that happened in the 1800’s! It was history, you cannot erase it, only learn from it.
In 1860, only Democrats owned slaves and only three quarters of one percent of the white population owned more than 50 slaves while 2,000 owned as many as 100. The total population in the U.S. at that time was 31,433,322 so as you see only a few people actually owned slaves. People have been slaves to others since time began and that includes people of all races and colors. Most whites that fought in the Civil War didn’t own slaves, in fact they said they fought for state rights. The Confederate flag no more stands for slavery than a duck is a symbol for cattle crossing. If you study history, and I have, you will find the Civil War was more about gaining power in Congress. But, most of you are too lazy to find the real truth.
The Democrats were the ones who hosted at their first convention Nathan Forest, the Grand Wizard of the KKK. It was Democrats who perpetrated evils against the blacks especially when they tried to vote. They also were the ones who imposed Jim Crow laws. So, put blame where it belongs.
William Wilberforce was a white British politician who led the movement to abolish the slave trade. It was a white Abe Lincoln who freed the slaves. It was white Republicans that set laws into motion so blacks could vote. It was white abolitionists who fought against slavery. It was also Grant, a white president, who cracked
down on the KKK and arrested and convicted them by sending in federal troops. Grant also used military pressure to ensure that blacks could maintain their electoral status in the 15th Amendment. He sent in to NYC armed Federal Marshals to regulate the 1870 elections. It was Democrats that mobilized to attack Grant’s entire set of policies. In 1876, Grant deployed troops to protect black and white Republican voters in VA.
Whites have done a lot to free black slaves and to see that they get equality under the law. This outrage against whites is ridiculous and once again fueled by the Democrats who lost an election and hate this country and want to destroy it.
I don’t owe any black person reparation, nor do I feel they are any less than I. We are all Americans and we need to all stand together or divided we fall. If we fall you will find yourselves in deep socialism and a society of real hell. This is what the BLM is about, not blacks, but tearing down this country. Once again Democrats are using blacks to gain power like they did in the Civil War.
