Prejudice comes in many forms, Prejudice is never right.
I overheard at a gas station late Sunday morning, June 14, near Hamilton, a woman taunting a peace officer, “I smell bacon, I smell pork, watch out piggy, I have a fork.” She and her companion laughed. Can anyone read this and not feel sick at heart?
God bless that officer who was able to keep his peace after such a reprehensible slur and in the face of such ingratitude.
Police officers put their lives in danger for our safety, they are there when we, who are strangers to them, call for help. They will be there even for that mean woman if she calls them for help. My thanks to them all, I know, I am sure, that it must be far more than “just a job” to them.
