Theresa Manzella will support the Constitution representing us in Helena. She stands for smaller government, thus in the 2019 legislative session voted against HB 658, the Obamacare/Medicaid Expansion also known as Montana Medicaid Expansion program. This expanded government putting more people on Medicaid which is an expensive program.
However, Nancy Ballance, her opponent, crossed over joining the Democrats and voted so Montana’s Medicaid Expansion program passed. Anita Y. Milanovich, Chief Legal Counsel for Montana Family Foundation wrote, This very expensive legislation also increases abortion availability under Medicaid. Doctors for a Healthy Montana wrote taxpayer funded abortions in Montana Medicaid Expansion (HB 658(2019),Section32) states when a woman enrolls in Montana Medicaid Expansion, becomes pregnant, goes to an abortion clinic, Medicaid Expansion pays for it. In reference to the above information, we don’t want our tax money paying for abortions.
Information to consider:
60% of the Montana voters did not want Medicaid Expansion, thus Initiative 185 failed in the 2018 election. This initiative would have eliminated the sunset date of June 30, 2020 and paid for this Medicaid Expansion by $2.00 placed on each pack of cigarettes.
HB 658 passed, thus Medicaid Expansion continues in Montana until 2025.
Vote Manzella for smaller government.
