Apparently to some people “big government” means too many bureaucrats telling us what to do and earning too much money from our taxes.
To me “big government” means a few people with big egos and lots of money not paying any attention to what might help normal folks — you know, the nurses and cashiers and teachers and first responders and what we are now calling essential personnel.
I would like to see lots of people employed and healthy and educated with our tax dollars for the good of us all.
That’s what governments are for, and though you may have grown up not trusting government, you will not find a society of any size without one.
If we have to have one, let’s elect one that works for more of us.
