Today Ravalli County officials set up an Incident Management team to undertake the Coronavirus issue. The unified command is made up of Jeff Burrows, Dr. Carol Calderwood, and Karyn Johnston, County Health Nurse.
According to IC Burrows, there are so many rumors circulating we know we need to provide accurate, timely, information.
Specifically, we are making decisions based on the information and what is best for our community. At this time, there are no reported positive cases in Ravalli County, and we are not closing bars and restaurants although many businesses have taken steps to limit the number of people that can come in and doing extra cleaning. All decisions are evolving and will change.
We are asking the public to remain calm and take steps to protect yourself by washing hands, practicing social distancing, and remain home if you are sick. We are in this together, and we will get through this as we have with past incidents in our Valley.
