Hamilton High School Bronc student-athletes spread some Christmas cheer on Saturday by visiting with elderly community members. The Bronc Wrestling team visited with residents at the Remington at Sapphire Lutheran Homes, the Lady Bronc Basketball team went to Beehive Homes and the Bronc Boys Basketball team visited residents at Valley View Estates. These student-athletes handed out Christmas cookies, candy canes and each resident was given a Christmas card. The athletes also sang Christmas carols.
Girls basketball player Olivia Walker said, “It was a great day. Seeing the happiness on people’s faces really brought joy to me and my team. It made us feel like we can make a difference in our community.”
Classmate Carson Rostad of the boys basketball team agreed. “It was great to get the team out and give back to community members.”
In addition, athletes also delivered Christmas wreaths to surprised community members. The day was finished off by students picking up bags of leaves for the City of Hamilton, organized with Mayor Farrenkopf.
