Kathleen Gayle Lewis (Kathy Lamberson)

Kathleen Gayle Lewis (Kathy Lamberson), 68, formerly of Stevensville, Montana, passed away Wednesday, August 28, 2019 at her home in Cedar City, Utah.

Kathy was born May 19, 1951, in Polson. Montana. She graduated from Hawthorne Grade School in 1965, from Missoula Hellgate High School in 1969, and from the University of Montana in 1974. She also attended graduate school at the U of M in 1979 and 1984.

Kathy lived a full life, with many varied interests and activities. She worked on a trail crew in the Bitterroot valley, as a bartender, and as a swimming instructor. She taught school in Libby and Stevensville and worked in local grocery stores. With her former husband, Bob Lamberson, she built and remodeled several homes and created Circle KBL Outfitters, which the couple operated from 1980 to 1998.

Kathy is survived by her two dogs and best friends, Ambrose and Scruffy, brother Mike Lewis and wife Becky of North Carolina, sister Mary Lewis of Missoula, sister-in-law Nancy Lewis and husband Bob of Great Falls, nieces Gena Prinster and husband Rich of Colorado, Kate Robertson and husband James of Virginia, Sarah Brogan Lewis of Virginia, nephew Max Lewis of Montana, and cousin Leo Giacometto and wife Mercy of Stevensville.

Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, Gale and Helen Lewis of Trout Creek and brother Gene Lewis.

Arrangements are under the direction of Southern Utah Mortuary. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
