By Jerry Esmay, Stevensville
I Just finished reading the latest issue of the Star. I see the Mayor and Town Council are butting heads again, this time over a snow removal decision. Since I do not live within the Stevensville town limits, some readers would probably say that I should not have a say in what is going on with the town government. However, I live just across the river from Stevensville and consider it to be my “home town.”
The town government infighting that has been ongoing for the past few years is sickening to say the least. My opinion of the town council members has grown to compare you with a bunch of whiney, spoiled children.
I know the Mayor(s) has (have)made some mistakes but instead of trying to help him correct and work through those mistakes, the town council members throw a fit and try to make him look bad.
This childish infighting is non-productive to the extreme. Granted this is only my opinion but I think it is shared by the majority of Stevensville area residents. You are supposed to be working toward the common good instead of trying to make each other look bad. GROW UP!
