When I read the headline of Mr. Fowler’s letter, “Democracy in danger,” my very first thought was: I certainly hope so! His evaluation of the MSM misrepresentation of the Covington Catholic school event is, of course, correct. Now, getting back to “democracy.” The Founding Fathers abhorred democracy knowing that it is nothing more than mob rule. You didn’t learn that in school, now did you?
The functional definition of democracy is: that form of government whereby the stupid and lazy can vote themselves the fruits of the labors of the intelligent and industrious simply because they outnumber them.
Sadly, today, societal parasites now outnumber those who are net assets to society.
