Support for Gorski

October 15, 2018 by Guest Post

By Bob Williams, Stevensville

The 85th Session of the Montana Legislature passed legislation making medical bills more transparent. Passed legislation making it possible for new medical insurors to compete in Montana.

Thanks to the 85th Session, there are test programs helping 4-5 year old children have access to educational opportunities. Test programs needing cost/benefit study.

Thanks to the 85th Session there’s a bit more improvement with regulation of campaign finance in Montana.

January 7, 2019, the 100-member, Montana House of Representatives goes into 90-day Session.

Two very well respected professional women are running to represent House District 88.

I am voting for Margaret Gorski to work for improvements in state health care, education and campaign finance.

There’s a bonus in voting for Margaret. The Bitterroot valley will still have an experienced, respected legislator dealing with the USFS.

Face it, Senator Pat Connell of Senate District 44 will not be in the 86th Session.

He was Chair of the Senate Interim Water Policy Committee. On the Senate Natural Resources Committee. Also served as Vice Chair of the Senate Interim Energy and Telecommunications Committee. And open mindedly listened to voter expressed objectives.

Without Pat, in my opinion, there will be only one person in the 86th Session experienced in issues and politics of working with USFS forest management.

By electing Margaret Gorski, we will have not one but two people in the 86th Legislature experienced with issues and politics of working with the USFS.

There’s not much quit in Margaret Gorski. That’s very important, just in case, like the 85th, the 86th Session gets detoured by what are politely called partisan politics (but in fact are more like party dominance politics).

Margaret has the real world job experience that other Representatives can relate to. She has budgeting experience that will place her on working committees where she will leverage objectives of her constituents.

By the way, my bias is against what are called establishment Democrats. They are Democrats biased toward their corporate donors.

Margaret Gorski is running as a Democrat. She is not an establishment Democrat.

If you live outside of HD 88, and have connections with people who live within HD 88, get informed and help your connections get informed about House candidate Margaret Gorski.

Margaret Gorski is a bright, effective worker with a solid track record of community involvement.
