I just wanted to publicly thank all the Emergency Services of Stevensville; The Fire Department, Police and the Emergency Medical Services for their annual organizing of the 9/11 Memorial Service and the lunch provided at the Fire Hall afterwards.
We are also grateful to Mayor Dewey for his welcome and introduction, the American Legion Post #94 for their Presentation and Retrieval of Colors and all the other personnel from surrounding communities for their participation.
It is a very moving experience to stand on Main Street to see the silent procession of Stevensville’s and other community’s emergency vehicles advancing towards the Veteran’s Memorial Park and then hearing the service afterwards. The Seedline pamphlet with Chaplain Nathan Saunders Information card on a table for people to come take if they wished was especially encouraging and very appreciated! I hope we always remember 9/11, thanks to these men and women for providing this opportunity.
