The top six athletes in each event at all of the Class B divisionals will advance on to the state meet which will be in Laurel this weekend. Jethro Thorne won the 200 (22.99) and the 400 (50.19 last weekend at the Western B Divisional in Frenchtown. He has also qualified in the 100 meter dash and the long jump. Sawyer Haas finished fourth in the 110 hurdles and sixth in the 300 hurdles. Brooklyn Newbary was fifth in the 200, third in the 400, and sixth in the long jump. Grace Schwenk was fourth in the 3,200 and sixth in the 1,600. Isabell Sage was sixth in the javelin.
Darby’s Casey Ehmann finished fifth in the 200 at the Western C Divisional in Frenchtown. The top five in each event advance. Ehmann was second behind Kailee Oliverson of Twin Bridges in both the 100 and 300 hurdles. Gracie Lang finished second in the 800, the 1,600, and the 3,200 at the meet. Donovan Chaffin was fifth in the boys’ 3,200 meter run. They will compete at the State Class C meet in Great Falls.
