Support for Bedey

April 17, 2018 by Guest Post

As we contemplate our future with a local, national and global perspective, we head to the polls for the local primaries. I am not one for politics and have never voted based on party lines. My vote has always been based upon the person, their character and the issues that are important to me. It is through this lens that I support Dave Bedey as the District 86 candidate.
I served with Dave for nine years on the Hamilton School Board. I have seen first-hand Dave’s commitment and leadership as he served the school, the district’s employees and the Hamilton community. Dave always went above and beyond what was expected of any board member. He made decisions with care and investigated the facts before making any recommendation to the board. I had the privilege to watch him lead the board and the district to a healthy financial state, be the biggest advocate for our district’s teachers, and never back down from tough decisions.
It is without hesitation that I support Dave Bedey to represent our community. I am confident that his years as Chair of the Hamilton School Board, the 30 years of experience as an officer in the US Army, his degrees in national security studies as well as a PhD in space physics and his experience as the CFO of an engineering firm will provide the leadership skills we desire in a representative.
I believe that Dave will make decisions based on honor, the facts, and after doing all he can to understand each issue.
The Hamilton school board’s loss will definitely be Montana’s gain. Best wishes to my fellow trustee, it has been a pleasure to work with you and watch you bring positive change to our schools and the community.
