Once again I find myself wondering if some of the most vehement anti-Trumpeters hear what I hear. President Trump has stated repeatedly that he is for the middle class, wants to bring back our manufacturing, increase employment, lower taxes for everyone and make our dealings with other nations more equitable.
Must we be reminded that we have given more to this world than anyone before us? We have rescued Europe twice, held back the Soviet threat to Western Europe for 50 years, answered a call for help from Korea and South Vietnam, deposed a dictator in Iraq. We have shed the blood of our young men and depleted our wealth for a world that has a short memory. During the past 20 or 30 years we have seen our manufacturing and jobs slip away, accepting the left’s vision of a utopian globalism.
Pardon my skepticism but I see a global community that sees the United States as a cash cow, eager to be milked. The United Nations has over 130 countries represented. The United States pays 20% of its income. The Paris accords put restrictions on the U.S. while giving concessions to the two worst offenders, China and India. Several past administrations have given North Korea billions on their promise that they would not develop nuclear weapons. Both parties are complicit in that bribery. Didn’t we learn anything from dealing with the Soviet Union who broke every agreement we ever had with them? Communists have a belief that any means necessary to gain power is justified.
We have a failing health care program called Obamacare that is failing fast. We have a Congress that hasn’t the courage to do anything about it. We have a populace that is outraged at any attempt to save money. How many times must we be reminded that we are twenty trillion dollars in debt? We have had three major hurricanes, Puerto Rico nearly wiped off the map, forest fires.
It has been proven in the past, during the Reagan and Kennedy administrations, that tax cuts create jobs. Give those nasty capitalists tax breaks and they expand business, create jobs, the – the more people working the more people pay taxes and government revenue increases. Capitalists don’t wear angel wings, there are Bernie Madoffs among them but the Bernies are the few. Then there are the Trumps who create jobs and love their country. Trump wants to return power to the middle class, despite the vicious propaganda of the left mainstream media.
In the past month or more I have seen in “Opinion” letters suggesting that President Trump’s policies have hindered the battle against so called global warming. Must we remind these people that our magnificent 5 valleys were carved out by glaciers at a time when there were no fossil fuel emissions, or perhaps it was dinosaur flatulence. And those super fires. Let it burn, it makes for healthy forests but what does it do to the health of the people living under that smoke for weeks on end? Why can’t we learn from the Indians who purposely cleaned up the landscape by intentional burning. This is not a very convincing argument when you just take a minute to think about it. There was a much smaller population, living in tents that could be rolled up, easy to move on to vast unsettled land, people who lived off the land. I can find no comparison to how we live today or using their system of land management. Our firefighters have one of the hardest jobs in this country, in many cases demanding heroic effort. We and they deserve a system of land management that works. Today if those fires approach, people have to walk away from everything they have spent a lifetime building.
Our President has walked into a buzz saw. A massive bureaucracy of entrenched professional politicians, both Republican and Democrat, whose egos cannot accept the fact that they were defeated by an outsider. An opposing party whose battle cry is Resist! Might we correctly translate that into Obstruct! A Justice Department full of Obama leftovers who purposely overlooked Hillary Clinton’s malfeasance while doing everything they can think up to connect Pres. Trump and his family to collusion with Putin—unsuccessfully. Let’s add outrage at any mention of budget cuts to reduce a 20 trillion dollar debt. And when the three hurricanes and devastation in Puerto Rico increase that debt, just watch the hate Trumpeters blame it all on the President.
Can we save money? The answer is yes. A good example would be to no longer give sex change operations to felons and in one case a felon-traitor. There are many such examples throughout the bureaucracy welfare programs and endowments. They should all look inward, root it out, tighten the belt a notch, adopt and live by the absolute that there is nothing free, someone has to pay and when the money runs out we go 20 trillion dollars into debt.

Let’s be completely honest. Trump is just making it up as he goes along. 30 day secret plan to eliminate ISIS? Non-existent. Plan to repeal & replace the ACA on day one? Non-existent. His plan to deal with North Korea? Same as the last administrations. His plan to bring the coal jobs back? Having zero affect so far. Construction of the wall that Mexico was going to pay for? Not happening. The guy is a self centered, thin skinned no nothing idiot. If we all get out of this alive it will be a miracle.
