Following a forty+ year career in public employment, with the majority of that time spent in public works operations, maintenance, and construction, I am fully aware what a thankless task it can be. So when the Stevensville public works staff led by Ed Sutherlin and the city’s administration under Mayor Crews made the effort to construct a new boat ramp on city property in River Park I felt I should extend my appreciation for their efforts. Job well done, Stevi.
Regarding Roy Capp’s highly questionable environmental concerns, “Tough luck, pal.” You attempted to extort money from the citizens of Stevensville and the state of Montana and you were outplayed. Your decision to eliminate access to the Bitterroot River by placing concrete barriers along the property line will stand in perpetuity as proof of your greed.
Once again – Thank you, Stevensville, for serving the needs of the community.
