No one is deplorable

No one is deplorable.

No one deserves our contempt. We have all gotten to where and what we are by doing our best with what we had in the situations we found ourselves in. Even Donald Trump, though I can neither like nor respect him.

So let’s leave the contempt and the name-calling and the labels to those with no other resources, and use our imagination, our ability to think, and our compassion to move forward for the good of all.

At least Mr. Trump’s tantrums and machinations are encouraging more and more people to think seriously about and express what they really value.

Since we are all ultimately in the same boat, it will be interesting to see where we go.
