The Corvallis Blue Devils notched a couple of wins on Saturday against teams from the Northwest A. It took the Blue Devils four games to defeat Whitefish, and only took three games for them to top Columbia Falls.
Maureen Jessop led her team with 17 kills against Whitefish and eight kills against Columbia Falls. Jessop also had 17 digs against Whitefish. Kate Hurlbert ran the offense with perfectly placed sets. She had 36 assists against Whitefish and 26 against Columbia Falls. She also had 21 digs against Whitefish.
The teams from the north also played Hamilton. Hamilton defeated Columbia Falls in four games. Caitlyn Dillon had 2 aces in that game for the Lady Broncs. Hayley Hudgins had nine kills agains Whitefish and Dillon had 30 assists.
Stevensville rolled over Ronan in three games behind the play of Angel Richards. She had 13 kills and two blocks. Cassi Kopsa had four aces in the match.
Florence continued their tough play with a three game win over Bigfork. Shannon Byrne had 16 kills. Sarah Hopcroft had three blocks and eight aces in the game.
Victor lost a couple of close Western C matches against Lincoln and Clark Fork. Krissy Kuettel had 25 digs against Lincoln and eight kills against Clark Fork. Shelby Harberts also had eight kills. Maddison Allred had five aces against the Lynx.
