Congress is starting up again. I think all of us (Democrat, Republican and Whatever) hope that they can manage to do something constructive. So far their performance reminds one of a circular firing squad. Maybe they need to try making a dry run. Yes, a dry run! After all, famous actors, generals, teachers, doctors and all other professions have dry runs, simulations, tests or maneuvers. If Congress met and repealed Murphy’s Law, the lessons learned may enable them to address some of the many problems facing our nation. They might enjoy actually working together.
Let’s be sure everyone reading this missive understand Murphy’s Law. It is very simple and concerns everyone. Simply stated, “Any thing that can fail or break will do so and at the worst possible time.” I am sure every veteran reading this will be very familiar with Murphy’s Law. Surely Congress can manage to agree that this is a good candidate for repeal. What they could learn and perfect by this dry run might just save our republic. I was going to end by suggesting everyone contact their congressman with this idea. But after considering congressional history, I hesitate ‘cause they just might have written it.
