The Corvallis Blue Devils may have defeated Stevensville in three games but they had their hands full with the upstart Lady ‘Jackets. Stevensville battled for every point against Corvallis with both teams playing tough at the net. A few small mistakes Stevensville allowed Corvallis to gain momentum and take the match in three games.
Stevensville fell to Dillon in five games on Saturday. Stevensville’s Angel Richards and Mikayla Hall were strong on the front line and setter Quinn Larson made sure to get the ball into their hands.
Darby defeated Victor and Clark Fork in Class C action over the weekend. The Lady Tigers relied upon Kylie Fisher at the net in the Victor game. She had 13 kills in that match. It was Casey Ehmann who controlled the net against Clark Fork for the Lady Tigers. She finished with nine kills.
Victor rallied on Friday with a long, hard-fought match against Seeley-Swan. The Lady Pirates dropped the first two games and then clawed back to win the remaining three to take the match. Krissy Kuettel was strong at the net and on the back row as well.
