The Hamilton boys repeated as the Western A Divisional champions in golf on Saturday. They now have to defend their state championship this week in Sydney. Sophomore Tristan Hanson led the Broncs scoring with a three way tie for third. He, Carson McDaniel of Polson and Derek Wolff of Frenchtown all shot 76. Riggs Johnston of Libby won with a 63 and Stevensville’s Zel Frost shot a 74 to take second.
Hamilton won by just four strokes over Polson with 326. Stevensville finished in third with 350.
Bryce Reed of Hamilton was seventh with an 80. Zach Taylor shot an 84 to take 10th and Tanner Hanson tied with Whitefish’ Andrew Brozek, Butte Centrals’ Cameron Johnson, and Jayce Painter of Stevensville for 11th place. They all shot an 86.
Hamilton’s Kelci Martin finished in a two-way tie for 11th with Megan Archibald. Both shot a 106. Keelee Storrud of Corvallis finished 15th with 113.
