Well, it’s certainly been an interesting week in Washington, D.C. Starting with our Commander in Chief deciding a certain class of Americans were no longer fit for military service. This coming from a man who was unfit himself because he had a persistent owee on his foot that prevented him from helping our infantry win in Vietnam.
Then his new communications director, Anthony Scaramucci, did his best to emulate a Mafia hit man with a vulgar, vile diatribe directed towards certain white house staffers he perceived as being disloyal “leakers.” He might as well leave a stinking fish in their beds at home to finish off his point.
And finally, our esteemed Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke apparently called two Republican senators to let them know that there could be repercussions if they failed to toe the Trump administration line on health care.
This was not the smartest maneuver for Zinke because Alaska Senator Murkowski chairs the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee. Mr. Zinke made similar ethical gaffes while on active duty with the Navy, which contributed to his being passed over for promotion to Captain.
So what can we look forward to next week? Perhaps Sarah Palin replacing Jeff Sessions? Oh boy, I can’t wait.
