I was surprised to see no letters about the white supremacist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, last week in the Star, but local news such as state budget worries and forest fires may take precedence when space is limited.
By now I hope everyone is aware that neo-nazis and the KKK are still among us and active, in the United States of America, in 2017, and that the killing of Heather Heyer by car was no different from the recent killing of 13 people in Spain by car … by ISIS.
Fear and hatred are at the root of all of this, and when did fear or hatred really do anything positive for anyone? You get to choose. I get to choose.
As the sign says: “Humankind. Be both.” And be clear.
