The South Valley 9U All Stars are tearing up the baseball fields this summer with the 9U North Valley team right on their heels. With the dividing line at Victor, the South Valley team is made up of players from Corvallis and Hamilton, while the North Valley team has players from Stevensville and Florence on it.

Last weekend, the South Valley 9U All Stars won the Helena Father’s Day Invitational in Helena. They won all five of their games in the tournament. In their first game, South Valley defeated Belgrade 9-4. They topped Helena, 12-6, then went on to blank the Capital City All Stars, 9-0, and Helena again, 12-2. In the championship game, South Valley blasted Bozeman, 29-9.

Over this past weekend, the Corvallis Mega Bash was held with tournament for 9U, 10U, 11U and 12U teams competing. The 9U and 10U teams were at Corvallis while Victor was host to the 11U and 12U teams. Teams from as far away as Browning competed in the 14-team tournament.

The Bitterroot teams again dominated the 9U with both the North Vally and the South Valley squaring off in the championship. The North Valley team defeated South Valley on Friday, 7-6. However South Valley came back to take the championship against North Valley, 18-8.

The Bitterroot dominated in the tournament overall with the South Valley 12U team taking that division, the 11U Bitterroot South winning that division and the Mission team winning the 10U division.

The state tournament will be in Kalispell the weekend after the 4th of July.
