To the careless and disrespectful persons who left a campfire burning and too much trash at the site above the Gold Creek Campground on Burnt Fork Road on April 16th –
Shame on all of you! Wake up, idiots! The campfire that was left burning that day was large and the pit that was dug was too close to large tree roots, making it difficult and time-consuming to put out. There was over 50 pounds of trash left at the site as well, which took time to clean up.
If my family hadn’t been up there that day, this fire would surely have spread because of the wind and carelessness. My family came up that day to relax and enjoy the woods, not to clean up after lazy people who didn’t pack out their trash.
Keep the forest clean and safe for others to enjoy. Respect our environment!
