The Keep Montana Green Association recently announced the winners of their annual art competition. The mission of the contest is to create a lasting interest in preventing wildland fires in Montana’s youth and adults. This year, the theme was “One Less Spark, One Less Wildfire.” These posters help increase awareness of the dangers of human caused wildfires.
This year, Victor School had eight regional winners. Autumn Garrard took first place in grades 10-12, Justice Zito was second and Amisa Ji (who now attends Stevensville School) was third. Honorable mention went to Kaitlyn Deering and Marina Gotcher. Taylor McKinley finished in third place in the 4th-6th grade division. Nora Goodwin was second in the Junior Division, grades 7-9 and Emily Buroker, honorable mention. Jennifer Ogden is Victor’s art instructor.
