Votes on the upoming LGSC Ballot are final! No LGSC Ballot in November!
What’s with the 5-0 votes by our County Commissioners?
Independent minded voters will vote preference for Ravalli County to be governed by three Commissioners! (Being governed by five Commissioners of the same political party led to the real reasons for appointing an obviously unqualified person as Treasurer of Ravalli County. Also the grossly wrongful termination of the head of Ravalli County Road and Bridge Department).
On the Local Government Study Commission (LGSC) section of the Primary Ballot, independent minded voters will vote preference for Non-Partisan Election of Ravalli County officials.
Many right wing Republicans will certainly vote for Partisan methods, means and financing, to elect all county officials.
Some Republicans, and lots of Ravalli County residents, have been anticipating a LGSC Ballot for Partisan elected Commissioners while other county officials, like Sheriff and Clerk & Recorder, would be elected through a Non-Partisan election process.
However, that option was taken away, by partisan politics. One Democrat, four Republicans, no Independents, on the five-member LGSC!
Worse yet, two LGSC members voted (in the minority) for another take away! Take away ability of Ravalli County residents to vote for Non-Partisan type of elections of county officials. Voted to disenfranchise voters to protect monopoly franchise of the Ravalli Republican Party.
Remember that, and the political appointment of an obviously incompetent Treasurer. Also the obviously incompetent approval of the ill named Legacy Ranch subdivision.
Vote against one-party dominance of Ravalli County!
Vote June 7, for Non-Partisan Election of all officials of Ravalli County!
Follow Montana law to encourage voter participation. Sample Ravalli County ballots should have been online weeks ago, for schools, libraries, and voters who have not yet registered.
Thinking about skipping the Primary Election? Careful, that’s the way the central party wants many people to think!
