State Representative Theresa Manzella (HD 85) of Hamilton has been selected to lead the Montana delegation to the Republican National Convention in Cleveland, Ohio. This is the first time a person from Ravalli County has been selected to lead the state delegates to the GOP convention. She will be the one who casts the vote from Montana.
“This will be the biggest crowd I’ve ever spoken before, even if it is a short, scripted line,” she said.
Manzella said Ravalli County has the fourth largest Republican voter block in the state. While she will be the one casting the vote on the national scene, there will be others from Montana working to develop strategies for the upcoming election. She said she was excited to work with the Montana delegation which includes a World War II veteran and a young man who is still in high school.
“This is a tremendous honor to represent the will of Montana citizens and carry it forward at the national convention,” Manzella said.
