Larry Milless

June 7, 2016 by Editor

Larry's obit Picture

Bitterroot Valley – Larry Milless, 66, went home to his Lord and Savior on Saturday, May 28th. Larry is probably sitting at the feet of Jesus telling Him stories and making Him laugh.

Larry had an incredible life. He married his high school sweetheart, Vinda Sheets, a week after his birthday in 1969. (He didn’t want to forget an anniversary.) She remained his rock through over 46 years of marriage. During that time, they lost their first child, Donna, shortly after birth but went on to have four children, Chad Milless, Cheryl Mouhallam, Brian Milless and Michelle Garrity. He is also survived by five grandchildren, Tyler Milless, Hammadi Mouhallam, Kadeen Mouhallam, Malachi Garrity and Dawna Garrity. Just this year, Larry lost Aya, Cheryl and Hicham’s child. Larry lived for his grandchildren and they kept him going through many tough times.

Larry was diagnosed with severe diabetes in 1995 but handled it very well until he lost his kidneys in 2009. He still put up a valiant fight for over six years. He passed away quickly and quietly sitting in front of a camp fire with several members of his family by his side at the beautiful Painted Rocks Lake campground.

Larry’s life was lived with passion and energy. Whether he was coaching a kids sports program, working with his church or serving a board or committee for the real estate profession, his commitment and zeal knew no boundaries.

Everyone who knew Larry has a story to tell. There were many sides to Larry and he just created unbelievable experiences as we went. He didn’t want people mourning his passing. He wanted a party instead. To honor this request there will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday, June 11th. Rather than sending flowers, the family would appreciate your stories, pictures and videos. Please contact Michelle (or family) at 777-0710 for details and arrangements to get your experiences and memories to them as quickly as possible.
