The good news is that the Closed Primary lawsuit, initiated by the Ravalli County Republican Central Committee, appears to be dead, as was sadly announced at a recent meeting of that group.
That frivolous lawsuit was precipitated by the loss of the SD43 Montana Senate seat by the favorite son of the Committee, to a much more highly qualified individual. A handful of other wimpy county Republican Central Committees joined in the suit, which would have cost many thousands of dollars. Money that could be well spent elsewhere, perhaps in electing a Republican Governor this year.
